My name is Lorenz Weber, I am 30 years old Dancer, composer, pianist and theater maker.
In all what I do I try to create rivers that are in dynamic movement. The interweaving of conflict, struggle, movement, transformation, stillness, pureness, fragility and pure love.
Look how the tree moves in the wind. Look how the river is flowing. Look how the deer runs through the woods.
To create an experience that remains, in the body, in the head, in everything that is involved and yet it falls apart. Because the improvisation is unique, that's exactly what makes it special. It can never be repeated. It is something that can happen exactly and only now. This is where space and time can truly be forgotten. It is a moment in which all knowledge of what was and what is to come can be forgotten - the entire theory of things in order to be captured by this one moment. That's really what interests me in life. The first impulse, what remains when everything falls away. The uncertainty and with it the imperfection that is reflected in improvisation. It is my declaration of love for life. It's something that's in everything I do, it's more than art, it's an aesthetic, a way of life with which I do everything in this world. I teach it to other people who are interested, because it really is a treasure that can become so big that it almost overwhelms you.
